I played Sheringham Golf Course midweek in the first week in April 2016 with my friend Hendo.  I am a somewhat rusty 6 handicapper and he plays off 24 and it was a challenge to both of us. This course is without doubt a hidden gem as I have now played golf for 30 years and not heard of it mentioned amongst the ‘elite’ courses.   We played on a sunny day when the wind was not too troublesome, although you just know it can come to haunt a round at any time.  The greens are true and deceptively quick running at 8.5 on the stimp meter as noted outside the clubhouse.  At £55 a round it is value for money and we both agreed playing it a second time would be beneficial now we have inside knowledge of wind, slopes and blind tee shots (perhaps against Sheringham virgins for a couple of quid!!!). Traditional links Par 70, 6251 yards – off whites (mid tees).
